About
During the summer of 1949, one Ohio town
suffered the deaths of nine precious babies.
These children lived in an area known as
"Little Kentucky" and their families not only
endured the heartbreak of losing a child, they
were met with ridicule, judgment, and shame.
Summer of Sorrow retells this true and tragic
story, through the eyes of a young girl whose
baby brother was the first child to die in that
heart-wrenching season of loss.
