Aly Racer

Aly Racer is an actress and professionally trained singer. She has been involved in numerous musical theater shows and is starting her journey into tv and film. She just completed the film and voiceover work for the “Summer of Sorrow” as one of the lead characters and film narrator and is currently preparing for her next two scheduled films. 

Ashlee Lawhorn

Ashlee Lawhorn is an American actress. Ashlee was born on October 27th, 1996, in Chillicothe Ohio. Before acting, Ashlee attended Shawnee State University and obtained a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Upon graduating, Ashlee began acting in commercials, short films, and feature films throughout Ohio.

Nicholas Adkins

Throughout most of his life, Nicholas Adkins has been involved in the arts in some way, from performing in school plays and church plays to voice acting for the past two years, and now he is moving into film. In addition to running his own videography business for four years, Nicholas is an avid writer. Nicholas has recently published two short stories and will soon release a novel. Nicholas's positive attitude and strong work ethic keep him reaching for the stars.

Sarah Parr

While growing up a block away from the renowned Forum Theater, and attending Rutgers Preparatory School and Metuchen Dance Centre, Sarah developed a great affinity for the performing arts. Her latest training includes a Voice Over class with Leilani Barrett at 1st Team Actors Studio. Throughout high school and college, she was able to study camera acting, improvisation, movement, Shakespeare, and contemporary scenes and monologues, as well as voice for the stage, and pop and musical theater vocal work.

Kevin Hutchison

Kevin Lee Hutchinson is an American actor. He is a member of The Mansfield Playhouse as
well as The Mount Vernon Players.
Kevin began acting his Junior year in highschool. He was a founding member of Troupe De
Life, a drama team at the New Life Church of Christ in Bellville, Ohio and performed in 8 dinner
theater productions there.
Some of his works are as Robert Lambert in theatre production of Boeing Boeing as well as
Leroy Jessup in the theatre production of The Bad Seed at The Mansfield Playhouse. He also
performed as Jim Taylor in the theatre production of Lombardi as well as Fibber McGee in a
radio production of Fibber McGee and Molly at The Mount Vernon Players.

Dave Gaylor

David is a mature actor, living in Springfield, Ohio (SW Ohio) ...a key area becoming known for independent and feature film locale. Since the mid 90's, he has developed his acting ability on stage and, for the past 6 years, in front of the camera. Film has become his chosen performance venue.

Beau Roberts

Beau has over a decade of experience in front of the camera and behind the lens. You may have also seen him on stage at the Mansfield Renaissance where he has played a variety of diverse characters. Beau enriches the production with his ability to adapt and mold himself into each role.

Bree Sowers

Bree Sowers is a 12 year old actress from Southeast Ohio. She has been cast in several feature films and participated in acting workshops to work on her craft. When not in front of camera Bree likes to be out on her farm and play with animals. She stays active in 4H and her local Leo Club supporting local charities. 

Kimber Vrabel

Kimber is a seven-year-old 2nd grader who has been cast in the role of Judy Kay, the youngest of the Adkins' daughters. Kimber enjoys singing, dancing and cheer and dreams of being an actress.

Fallon Flannery

Fallon Reign Flannery is 6 years old, from Shelby, ohio. Summer of Sorrows is his first movie. Would love to continue acting in his future and become a police officer.

Ramona Schwalbach

Ramona Schwalbach is a actress, singer and songwriter. She has been in numerous movies and TV shows. She also performs in dinner theater shows as well.

When she is not acting she is busy with her songwriting in which she has had songs recorded by independent artists.

She wants to use her God given talent to touch lives and to inspire others to follow their dreams.

Lori Cope

Lori hails from the area, residing with her family in Lexington.  Lori is the proud mother of three children and has performed in another local production.  She is very grateful to be a part of Robin’s dream of giving these souls a long-awaited voice.

Sarah Smith

Sarah Elizabeth Smith is an actress based in Canton. OH. She started performing at the age of three, training in classical ballet and working on various theater productions before taking a break from the performing arts to pursue a degree in Justice Studies from Kent State.

Tom Cline

Over the past two years, Tom has had opportunities to work on a variety of projects, commercials, and films. One fun fact about Tom is that he has been on set with 4 Oscar winners!

Jake Truitt

Jake Donald Truitt is a young starting out actor who has been acting for over a year now and has been a part of a handful of acting/voice acting projects. His recent work includes Summer of Sorrow, and voicing the character Jason in the upcoming Power Rangers fan made audio comic. He aspires to continue his acting career and hopes to go far in the industry. His life quote is, “when you feel like your life is bursting at the seams, close your eyes, take a breath, and never stop chasing your dreams.” A quote from his spoken word poem Dreams. 

Robin Hawkins

Robin is an Ohio native with a professional background in the fields of education and mental health.  In the fall of 2020, she launched the true-crime podcast, Watered-Down Women and its success led to her writing the screenplay for Summer of Sorrow.  Robin served as Producer and Co-Director of the film and enjoyed the challenge that each role offered. She plans to continue her work in research and writing and looks forward to future creative opportunities. She and her husband John are empty-nesters and the proud parents of two fabulous daughters!
